The Seeds of Grunge Music Were Planted On This Day In 1792

June 4, 2017

June 4th, 1792 Royal Navy Captain, George Vancouver navigated his ship through Puget Sound in the Pacific Northwest, and laid claim on the waterway for Great Britain. It was most likely rainy and overcast. That very same day he sent his favorite young lieutenant, Peter Puget, ashore to score some smack. After a six day bender, they cast the corpses of OD'd crewman over the side of the ship and once again set sail in search of other miserable places to claim in the name of The Crown.
